BREAKING: AEW Star Forced To Vacate Title; Tony Khan Makes Big Announcement
Tonight served as the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite before this weekend’s Dynasty pay-per-view, and the promotion was dealt a major blow an hour before the episode went on-air.
It was announced on social media that the current TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher, has suffered a severe injury, forcing him to vacate his title days before this weekend’s big show.
He suffered a menisucus injury during a tag team match on the February 28 episode of Collision which will keep him out of action for a long period of time.
New TNT Champion to be crowned at AEW Dynasty
As the TNT Championship was vacated by Kyle Fletcher, AEW Co-founder Tony Khan addressed the situation right away and announced a huge match for Dynasty this Sunday.
He announced that a new TNT Champion will be crowned at AEW Dynasty in a Casino Gauntlet match. Don Callis confirmed the same on Dynamite tonight as soon as the show went on air.
It was also announced that former TNT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa, will take on Mascarada Dorada on tonight’s episode for the number one spot in the Casino Gauntlet match.
