The go-home episode of AEW Dynamite had quite a few exciting matches on offer tonight as Tony Khan looked to keep the fans hooked ahead of his first Pay-Per-View of the year.

The night began with a calculated bout between the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family, which saw Jon Moxley survive a major scare following his match.

The action then continued as another Don Callis Family member was in action, as Kyle Fletcher defended his TNT Championship against SpeedBall Mike Bailey.

The duo have met each other multiple times and have held one victory each over the other. Mike Bailey defeated Fletcher during their singles match during the Continental Classic tournament, before Fletcher defeated Bailey last week in a trios match.

After Bailey lost his AEW World Trios Championship last week, he looked determined to take a title off Fletcher tonight. He dominated in the early stages of the match and had Fletcher down on multiple occasions.

It looked like SpeedBall Bailey would cause another major upset here, but Fletcher came back into the match hard, with a back superplex on Bailey. However, he didn’t stay down for long and hit multiple dives to the outside onto the champion.

Bailey had dominated the champion for most of the match as he held the advantage for the first 15 minutes of the match. He targeted Fletcher’s arm to weaken his opponent before earning a near fall with the Time Adventure.

The Protostar then came close to winning with a Michunoku Driver and his version of a Rainmaker, but only earned a two-count. He needed the Don Callis Family’s help to get rid of Bailey ultimately.

As Bailey had Kyle on his shoulders, Kazuchika Okada came to the ring to distract the referee, allowing Kyle Fletcher to gauge his eyes. He then smashed him with the Trios Championship behind the referee’s back before hitting him with a Brainbuster to retain his belt.
