This is AEW Dynamite, featuring a big 6-man tag team match, words from Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and more.

The AEW Dynasty PPV takes place this Sunday, April 12th. Most of the big matches are set for Dynasty, including MJF defending the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega, FTR defending the AEW Tag Team Titles against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, and Jon Moxley’s Continental Title on the line against Will Ospreay.

There was some pre-show news with AEW’s Tony Khan announcing that the TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher is injured and will be out of action for several months. They will have a Casino Gauntlet Match at the Dynasty PPV to crown a new TNT Champion.

For this review, I’ll go summary style for most of the show and then play-by-play for one or two matches.

This was AEW Dynamite episode #340 from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Follow me on Twitter/X @johnreport. Let’s get to it.

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means. Excalibur was on commentary with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

There was a fight in the parking lot between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay. The Death Riders group showed up to help Moxley beat up Ospreay. A car drove up and it was driven by Will’s fiancée Alex Windsor. Joining Alex was Callum Newman, Francesco Akira & Henare, who are three wrestlers part of the United Empire group that Ospreay has been part of in the past. Ospreay and friends fought with the Death Riders in the parking lot. Akira jumped off a car onto Claudio. Henare slammed Wheeler Yuta into the hood of a car.

The fighting spilled out into the arena as Windsor fought with Shafir. Ospreay and Moxley fought down the aisle and into the ring. Shafir went into the ring to choke Ospreay. Windsor saved her fiancé Will with a clothesline on Shafir. Daniel Garcia joined Moxley in the ring to attack Ospreay. Henare went into the ring and so did Akira to save Ospreay. Pac went into the ring to kick Henare a few times. Pac tried a lariat, Henare no-sold that and Newman knocked Pac out of the ring. Newman dove onto Pac on the floor. Claudio fought with Henare, who clotheslined Claudio  out of the ring. Moxley applied a Sleeper on Will in the ring, but Will got out of it and Newman jumped off the top with a double foot stomp. Moxley left the ring with the Death Riders while Ospreay and the United Empire stood tall in the ring.

Will Ospreay said that Jon Moxley told him to use his head. Ospreay brought his buddies with him and we did a long flight from Japan to be here. Ospreay said that they will give the Death Riders 1 hour and 20 minutes and have some Chaos in Canada. Will said tonight in the main event, it’s the United Empire against the Death Riders.

Analysis: That was an exciting brawl to set up a tag team match for later. I certainly don’t mind that. They built it up very well and left the audience wanting to see the match.

Don Callis appeared backstage, saying that Kyle Fletcher was injured and out of action. Callis said now that TNT Title will be decided in a Casino Gauntlet Match at Dynasty. Callis said he wanted to do Fletcher and Okada (aka Protokada) against The Young Bucks, but he has a pivot that will blow your mind. Callis said he runs this faction like a pro sports team and he likes that people don’t get along like Okada and Takeshita. Callis said they call the shots. Callis claimed his family will be stronger than ever and they will do it for Kyle Fletcher.

Don Callis Family – Konosuke Takeshita, Andrade El Idolo & Mark Davis (w/Don Callis) vs. Darby Allin, “Jungle” Jack Perry & Bandido

Allin and Takeshita exchanged some moves, including Allin hitting a Code Red. Andrade tried to leave, so Allin called him out and told Andrade to stop being Don Callis’ little bitch. Andrade showed up on the ramp and Takeshita gave Allin a German Suplex on the floor. Perry got the tag for his team and sent two of the heels out of the ring. Perry hit a moonsault onto Takeshita and Davis on the floor. When Perry jumped off the top rope, Takeshita was waiting with an elbow smash to the face. Andrade sent Perry face first into the barricade. Andrade found an attractive woman at ringside and she took a selfie with him, which we see in every Andrade match. They went to a picture-in-picture break.

(Commercial)

The match continued with Perry breaking free and Bandido got the tag. There were two heels in the ring so Bandido could beat them up, including a press slam on Takeshita onto Davis. Bandido kicked Takeshita, but Takeshita came back with a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Davis hit a jumping kick and Bandido came back with a hurricanrana for two. Takeshita went in illegally with a forearm, Perry hit Takeshita with a Poison Rana and Andrade tripped up Perry. Allin hit a suicide dive onto Andrade on the floor. Davis sent Allin into the barricade at ringside. Davis and Takeshita tossed Allin over a table and crashing onto some chairs at ringside. The DCF guys slammed Bandido on the apron. Perry had to fight two guys in the ring because it’s AEW and Davis punched Perry. Davis hit Perry with a clothesline. Davis hit a piledriver. Andrade hit the DM twisting neckbreaker on Perry for the pinfall win. I guess Andrade was legal. It went about 12 minutes.

Winners by pinfall: Don Callis Family – Konosuke Takeshita, Andrade El Idolo & Mark Davis

Analysis: ***1/4 A decisive win by the Don Callis Family guys to give Andrade some momentum going into his match with Darby Allin at Dynasty. It was the usual AEW tag team match with illegal wrestlers in the ring throughout the match and not being sure who the legal guys were. Anyway, I figured either Andrade or Allin would win since they are in a match at Dynasty.

After the match, Allin and Andrade stood face to face. Andrade kicked Allin with a low blow kick to the groin. Davis held Perry while Callis gouged Perry’s eyes. The Young Bucks made the save for Perry. Lance Archer went into the ring and ate a double superkick. The same goes for Hechicero and EL Clon as the Young Bucks hit a double superkick on them. The Bucks hit a double superkick on Davis and a BTE Trigger as well. The Bucks tried a double team move on Takeshita, but Kazuchika Okada saved Takeshita by tripping up Nick. Takeshita decked Matt with an elbow smash. Okada and Takeshita worked together to stomp on The Young Bucks in the ring and then they went face to face. Okada shoved Takeshita, and then they got into a slug fest as they exchanged forearms. The other members of the Don Callis Family broke up the fight. The Rascalz went into the ring with Bandido and they hit dives onto the Don Callis Family on the floor. Okada laughed at Takeshita on the floor. Myron Reed jumped over the top onto Okada on the floor as well.

Analysis: That was a lot of chaos involving a lot of people, so it seems like a tag team match has been set up for Dynasty. Okada and Takeshita never getting along is always entertaining to me. I think Takeshita could be a huge babyface in AEW if they pull the trigger on it, and I assume that when he does go face, he’ll take the International Title from Okada.

Dr. Michael Sampson spoke to Lexy Nair backstage. Sampson said that MJF was just trying to get in Kenny Omega’s head. Sampson said that Kenny was cleared by a surgeon and Dr. Sampson and he’s in the best shape of his life.

TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale vs. Queen Aminata

Willow has been champion for 98 days. Queen is back after being injured for the last five months. Queen hit a twisting neckbreaker for a two count early on. Willow: “What was that? That was a little close.” They left the ring and Willow sent Queen into the barricade. Hikaru Shida was watching from the crowd. Willow hit a clothesline. Queen came back with a running kick for two. Queen used her legs to send Willow’s head into Queen’s butt repeatedly. There’s a unique spot leading into a PIP break.

(Commercial)

The champion Willow had Queen on her shoulders and hit a backbreaker. Willow hit a Death Valley Driver for two. After Queen went to the floor, Willow hit a cannonball on Queen on the floor. Back in the ring, Willow tried a moonsault, Queen moved and Queen hit a running elbow for two. Queen jumped off the top with a double foot stomp to the ribs for two. Queen hit a headbutt, Willow bounced off the ropes and Willow hit a lariat. Queen picked up Willow and hit an Air Raid Crash for a two count. Good move there. Willow was back up with a boot to the face and a Pounce. Willow hit her Babe With The Powerbomb (a Gutwrench Powerbomb) for the pinfall win after 12 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Willow Nightingale

Analysis: *** A good TV match where Queen Aminata looked competitive the whole way even though I doubt anybody watching this thought that Willow Nightingale would lose. It would be nice if there were a story for Willow as the champion instead of just facing random wrestlers.

Chris Jericho will address his return up next.

A video package aired about the AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman. It showed MJF’s journey in AEW from his beginning in 2019 and led to his two reigns as the AEW World Champion, including his current reign as the champion going into Dynasty on Sunday.

Let’s Hear from Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho made his entrance to his classic “Judas” song rom his band Fozzy. Jericho was cheered heavy by his fellow Canadians in Edmonton. The graphic on screen said just “Jericho” but the announcers are calling him Chris Jericho. Chris made his AEW return to AEW last week after being away for a full year. There was a “Jericho” chant.

Chris Jericho thanked Edmonton for the love. Jericho said it was so good to be back on Dynamite. Jericho said last week he said it was great to home in AEW and now he’s going to sign his new AEW contract. Jericho said that he had his first match about 100 KM away from here. Jericho talked about how he took a risk signing with AEW in 2019 and he’s so proud of how much this company has grown. Jericho claimed he helped start this company. Jericho talked about how he’s had some great stories and matches, but he’s had some stinkers too. Jericho said he did things for the right reasons because he loved pro wrestling – he really does. Jericho said that’s why he got into the best shape possible and this business deserves the best Chris Jericho that he can possibly be. Jericho said it doesn’t matter if he’s in the opening match, in the middle card, or in the main event because he loves pro wrestling and he wants to help this company. There were “Jericho” chants. Jericho was about to sign the contract, but he didn’t actually sign it when Ricochet showed up for the interruption.

Analysis: That was a nice babyface speech by Chris Jericho putting over AEW and his love of pro wrestling. I think Jericho is better as a heel, but due to his 35+ years of being a wrestler, it’s easy to book him like a babyface legend.

The stable known as The Demand made their way down to the ring. It was Ricochet, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun. They were booed by the fans while Tony said they were spoiling a great moment.

Ricochet said that as somebody from Las Vegas, Canada freakin’ sucks. Ricochet said he hated it here. Ricochet said they come in peace. Ricochet said if they were there to hurt him, Kaun would have already pulled the trigger. Ricochet told Jericho to do himself a favor and just don’t. Ricochet told Jericho not to sign his contract. Ricochet said Jericho has been gone for a year and he’s been busy with his band singing karaoke. Ricochet said there’s a difference between sing shape and ring shape. Ricochet told Jericho he’s one of the greatest AEW Champions of all time and without Jericho, AEW may not have had the rise that it did. Ricochet claimed he’s in demand now. Ricochet said that attendance is up, ratings are up and he was the first ever AEW National Champion. Ricochet said it’s all because of his rise. The fans booed and chanted “Jericho.” Ricochet said he told him this because of how much he respects Jericho. Ricochet told Jericho nobody wants him here. The fans booed that. Ricochet told Jericho to do everybody a favor, so pack it all up, go back on your cruise ship and never come back to AEW before Jericho gets himself hurt.

Jericho: “Wow, you really are bald!” The fans popped for that. Jericho said he respects Ricochet and after what Ricochet said, Jericho doesn’t give a shit what he thinks. Jericho signed the contract. Jericho said he can pick any available opponent for a match at Dynasty. Jericho said he could pick anybody including his nephew Mark at ringside. Jericho said he has a decision to make. Jericho said he hasn’t done this for about ten years, but for Ricochet, he thinks it’s valid. Jericho pulled the back of the clipboard off to reveal the List of Jericho and Jericho told Ricochet he just made the list. Jericho told Ricochet he’ll see him at Dynasty and Jericho left. Jericho greeted his nephew in the crowd.

Analysis: I thought it was an entertaining promo exchange. If you are going to use Jericho in a babyface role then it makes sense to have a hated heel like Ricochet to confront him. It’s also a fresh matchup since Jericho hasn’t feuded with Ricochet in the past, so I like at as a match at Dynasty. Bringing out “The List of Jericho” for the first time in nearly a decade (in WWE) was a nice touch that popped the crowd.

Don Callis and his family were backstage for an interview with Lexy Nair. Callis said that at Dynasty, it will be The Young Bucks against Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita as a team. Takeshita said no. Callis said we need this to come together for Kyle Fletcher. Takeshita said okay, and Takeshita said he wants to challenge Okada for his International Title. Callis said if you work together at Dynasty, then Takeshita can get a shot at Okada’s belt at Double or Nothing. Callis said that Okada and Takeshita will work together like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen to beat The Young Bucks. Okada told Takeshita he was Pippen and Okada is Jordan. Takeshita didn’t like that and then the two guys were separated.

Analysis: There’s a big tag team match for Dynasty. The Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen reference was nice, but they last teamed together in 1998, which is almost 30 years ago. I feel old. Anyway, I’m all for Okada-Takeshita as a team, especially because it’s finally going to lead to a singles match.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Mascara Dorada

The winner of this match gets to star the Casino Gauntlet Match for the TNT Title at Dynasty. Dorada was in control early on and he kicked Ciampa out of the ring. Dorada tried a move onto Ciampa on the floor, but Ciampa avoided it and Ciampa hit a knee smash. Dorada did a headscissors that sent Ciampa out of the ring. Dorada hit a twisting cross body block onto Ciampa on the floor. That led to a PIP break.

(Commercial)

Dorada was on the apron and kicked Ciampa while he was on the floor. Dorada stood on the ring post and hit a moonsault onto Ciampa on the floor. Back in the ring, Dorada hit a 450 Splash for two. Ciampa came back with a low dropkick and a Powerbomb onto the knees for two. Dorada kicked Ciampa by the turnbuckle, put Ciampa on his shoulders and hit a flipping slam into the mat for a two count. Dorada jumped off the top with a moonsault, Ciampa got the knees up and Ciampa caught Dorada against the ropes, which led to the Willow’s Bell DDT. Ciampa hit a running knee on Dorada for the pinfall win after 10 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Tommaso Ciampa

Analysis: ***1/4 An impressive win by Tommaso Ciampa as he survived from big moves by Dorada before putting him away. I think the running knee smash is fine as a finisher, but the way he does the DDT off the ropes (Willow’s Bell) looks more impressive and that should be Ciampa’s main finisher.

After the match, Tommaso Ciampa kissed the TNT Title at ringside.

David Finlay and The Dogs were backstage beating up Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong. It was David Finlay, Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd, who said that The Conglomeration have nobody left. Kidd said they are ready to bite off the heads of AEW Trios Champions Mistico, Speedball Bailey and Kevin Knight. Finlay said that on Collision, they are coming for their bodies and their gold.

Analysis: I think The Dogs will be AEW Trios Champions this year at some point. I don’t know when, but it seems very likely.

(Commercial)

The AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla was interviewed by Lexy Nair. Thekla said that the kingdom has changed since Jamie Hayter was the Women’s Champion. Thekla said that the first woman she took out in AEW was Hayter. Thekla told Hayter she’s the dumbest bitch alive for coming after Thekla. Thekla was confident about beating Hayter at Dynasty and called her the dumbest bitch again.

Let’s Hear from Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

It was time for more Canadians in Canada, which is never a bad thing in the opinion of this Canadian. Adam Copeland made his entrance to a big pop from the crowd, and he was followed by his tag team partner, Christian Cage, who is more of a jerk of the two guys.

Cope said that jealousy is what blew up Rated FTR. Cope said this Sunday at Dynasty, the C&C Dynasty take their rightful place at the top of the mountain as your AEW Tag Team Champions. Cage said FTR, wherever you are, sit down and shut your mouths while Cage conducts his business. Cage said not only has FTR pissed off Cage & Cope, but they pissed off Canada. Cage said as everybody’s favorite father figure, he had to say they were very naughty. Cage said that he paid a visit to both of their mothers and said, “I banged them both.” Cage said he’ll visit Stoke’s mother as one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions.

FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler made their entrance as the AEW Tag Team Champions, joined by Big Stoke. Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero attacked Cope & Cage from behind. That led to FTR attacking Cope & Cage. Romero hit Cope with a chair on the floor. Cash countered a Cage move by sending him into Stokely, who hit Cage with a title belt. Trent hit a running kick into a chair into Cope. In the ring, Stoke hit Cage with the lightest Spear ever. Dax put Cage’s left arm between a steel chair and Cash was going to jump on it. Stoke stole Christian’s watch, and Cash jumped onto the chair that was on Cage’s left arm. Cage was writhing in pain selling the left arm injury. FTR celebrated in the ring while Cope & Cage were down.

Analysis: The promos from Cope and Cage were fine. Cage saying that line about the mothers of FTR was unique, but that’s Christian. The attack from FTR and Trent/Romero makes me think that Cope & Cage are winning the AEW Tag Team Titles at Dynasty. It makes sense to do the title change at a show in Vancouver in front of the Canadian fans that love Cope & Cage so much.

(Commercial)

Darby Allin was backstage in the building somewhere. Allin admitted he was going after the AEW World Champion because he wants to be the face of this company. Allin warned Andrade that he doesn’t know what he has gotten himself into. Allin mentioned he was coming after the AEW World Champion, whether it’s MJF or Kenny Omega. Allin said he needs this win more than anything. Allin reiterated that he needed this more than anybody can imagine.

Chaos In Canada: United Empire – Will Ospreay, Callum Newman, Francesco Akira & Henare vs. Death Riders – Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Pac & Daniel Garcia

It was a match where Anything Goes so they were fighting all over the arena. Claudio hit an impressive backbreaker on Akira, but Akira came back with a ladder as a weapon. Alex Windsor went to ringside to fight with Marina Shafir. They went fighting to the back. The UE guys brought a ladder into the ring, so Akira climbed the ladder and jumped onto the four Death Riders guys on the floor. That led to a PIP break.

(Commercial)

The UE guys were on fire with multiple cross body blocks onto the heels on the floor. A table was set up on the floor by the commentary table. Ospreay and Newman teased a move on Moxley through a table, but Claudio saved Moxley by sending Newman into the barricade. Claudio gave Will a backbreaker on the floor. Claudio sent Henare into the barricade. The Death Riders were in control with multiple strikes and clotheslines on Akira. They did the same barrage of strikes and clotheslines on Newman too. Moxley was biting Will’s ear and Garcia choked Will with his jacket. The Death Riders took turns hitting clotheslines and strikes on Henare, who tried to fight back with clotheslines of his own. Henare tossed Garcia out of the ring, but Claudio saved his teammate. Claudio caught Henare and gave him a suplex through another table at ringside. They went on another PIP break about 11 minutes into the match.

(Commercial)

It was a chaotic match as Moxley hit a piledriver and the announcers put over how Will had neck surgery last year. They did a bunch of “stand in the ring and do moves while everybody else waits in the corners” spots. Garcia trapped Will in the Dragontamer submission, so Moxley hit a Stomp on Will for a two count because a Akira made the save. Moxley intimidated the shorter Akira and hit a lariat. Newman hit a Moxley with a rolling elbow and superkick. Will and Newman each hit springboard Cutters for two counts. Claudio got back into it with a Giant Swing on Will. Henare was back in with a clothesline on Claudio. Henare hit a spinning Powerbomb on Pac. Claudio got a hold of Akira and teased a move through ha table, but Henare got back into it with a Spear that put Claudio through a table. Akira gave Garcia a Powerbomb on a table that didn’t break. Newman hit a double foot stomp to put somebody through a table. Akira tried to splash Garcia through the table, but that didn’t break the table either! Damn. Will and Moxley did the “stand and throw strikes” routine that Moxley loves doing. Will went for a springboard attack, but Moxley blocked with a kick and hit a Paradigm Shift. Moxley hit another Paradigm Shift. Moxley hit a third Paradigm Shift. Newman was back in to save his buddy Will. That led to Will hitting a Hidden Blade into Moxley through a table against the turnbuckle. Ospreay covered Moxley for the pinfall win. It went about 20 minutes.

Winners by pinfall: United Empire – Will Ospreay, Callum Newman, Francesco Akira & Henare

Analysis: **** A crazy match that was a lot of fun to watch for the 20 minutes they were given. Four stars out of five. It’s unfortunate that a table didn’t break because I think they obviously wanted all the tables to break on the floor to set up Ospreay and Moxley in the ring, but they managed to get through it just fine. I’m shocked that Moxley would get pinned by Omega just a few days before their Dynasty match. That makes me think Moxley is going to retain at Dynasty instead of Ospreay getting the Continental Title.

After the match, Ospreay wanted to do more damage to Moxley, but Claudio saved Moxley and got him out of the ring.

There was a video package about Kenny Omega’s impact on the world of pro wrestling. It covered his career success in NJPW and then coming to AEW where he is a former World Champion, while being known as a God of Pro Wrestling now.

Let’s Hear from Kenny Omega…and MJF

Kenny Omega made his entrance for an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone. It was about 2 hours, 10 minutes into the show at this point. They should just make Dynamite a 2.5-hour show. Omega was wearing a suit and tie for his fellow Canadian fans.

Omega said you may not believe him if he says this. Omega said he hasn’t been here for 25 years. Omega thanked Edmonton for supporting him since he used to wrestle here in Edmonton’s great independent wrestling scene. Omega said he lost his cool last week with MJF and it could have ruined anything. Omega mentioned getting mad at MJF last week. Omega said that it wasn’t even the diverticulitis that got him mad. Omega said that the God of Pro Wrestling isn’t something he’s said about himself, but the fans have said it about him. Omega said that his nicknames given to him meant a lot. Omega said that AEW used to be just a concept. Omega talked about MJF’s ability to talk. Omega said that everything you can do, Omega can do better. Omega said he rewrites history and recreates wrestling in his image because that’s what a God of Pro Wrestling does. Omega said that MJF should have been pissed off. Omega said that MJF couldn’t do what Omega did in Japan and MJF can’t generate an emotional response the way Omega can. Omega said that this isn’t his legacy. Omega said that this is our legacy. Omega said whether we’re in Edmonton, Winnipeg or Timbuktu – all that matters is you wear a championship with pride. Omega said it’s not going to be MJF. Omega said he’s not the same Omega since before diverticulitis. Omega said it’s about working harder to protect what he once had. Omega said that in Vancouver, Omega will take the AEW World Title from MJF and he will right the wrongs that MJF has committed in this company. Omega said that at the pay-per-view, it will be MJF’s last defense, and this version of Kenny Omega can promise that.

Analysis: I feel like it was an okay promo, but Kenny rambled on a bit and kind of lost whatever point he was making about why he was angry last week. Anyway, I would have done a shorter promo and spoken with more aggression.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman walked out as the AEW World Champion, looking confident as usual. MJF said that Omega should talk himself up and these morons should talk Omega up. MJF said that they are all scared shitless because they are wondering if it’s Omega’s last shot at the AEW World Championship. MJF said it will be Omega’s last shot because the clock is ticking on his career. MJF bragged about beating Omega last time they wrestled. MJF said Omega claimed he was at 75% in that match. MJF mentioned Omega is feeling great now, so MJF wonders what Omega’s excuse will be. MJF said Omega will find out the hard way that when you bring the best version of yourself into the ring, the same thing will happen – you will find out that you are not on the level of the devil. MJF said that the fans’ God will fall and your devil will rise where only he belongs. MJF said that it’s because his name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, he’s better than Omega and he knows it.

Omega said he learns more about Max every week. Omega said that the AEW World Title means a lot to MJF. Omega said that MJF may even honor the tradition of shaking hands before an AEW World Title match. Omega told MJF to shake his damn hand. MJF thought about it, didn’t shake the hand and tried an attack, so Omega ducked the punch. Omega hit a knee smash on Max. Omega took MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring. Omega said he knows Max, he’s studied him and at the end of the pay-per-view (say Dynasty, not that), it will be Omega bidding the crowd adieu and a goodnight bang. Omega stood tall and dropped MJF’s ring on his chest. Omega left while MJF looked angry from inside the ring. That was it.

Analysis: No handshake as you would expect from MJF, but they did get physical and Omega got the upper hand there. I think the build has been pretty good for the match, but I don’t think this “go home promo” was that interesting overall. It should be an outstanding match.

The show ended at 10:26 p.m. ET.

Final Thoughts on AEW Dynamite

A good show full of action and I really liked that 8-man tag team match. That was chaos, but they did a nice job of using the elements and building to the finish well. I’m a little shocked that Jon Moxley lost in that match.

They built the Dynasty matches well. I like Jericho-Ricochet added, while everything else on the card was focused on for at least a bit of the show. I would have liked a better MJF-Omega promo segment, but it wasn’t that bad.

The next AEW PPV is Dynasty on Sunday, April 12th in Vancouver. Here’s the lineup so far.

* AEW World Championship: Maxwell Jacob Friedman (c) vs. Kenny Omega

* AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay

* AEW World Tag Team Championships: FTR – Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

* Darby Allin vs. Andrade El Idolo

* AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter

* Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet

* The Young Bucks – Matt & Nick Jackson vs. Don Callis Family – Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita

* TNT Championship – Casino Gauntlet Match will be held to crown a new champion
