Tony D’Angelo Stirs Chaos As WWE NXT Tag Team Gold Changes Hands

A huge night is in store for the NXT Universe as a huge episode of the black and silver brand is scheduled for tonight, which will see a whopping four titles defended on WWE’s developmental show.

All Ego Ethan Page is set to put his North American Championship on the line against Myles Borne, whereas Jacy Jayne defends her NXT Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca.

The Interim General Manager, Robert Stone, got the night underway as he welcomed The Vanity Project, who made their way to the ring for the NXT Tag Team Championship match against DarkState.

The Vanity Project won a number one contender’s fatal-four-way match last week, defeating OTM, Hank and Tank, and The Culling to earn a shot at the titles.

The champions began the match on the front foot as Osiris Griffin and Saquon Shugars dominated Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor. The challengers gradually came back in the match after they separated Shugars from his partner.

However, Griffin’s entry turned the tide once again, and he almost won the match for his side before Jackson Drake intervened. His interference caused a brawl between him and Dion Lennox, leading to security separating them, before Griffin wiped him out.

Amidst the chaos, Tony D’Angelo snuck in behind everyone and slammed Shugars into the ring apron before sending him back in the ring, where The Vanity Project pinned him to become new WWE NXT Tag Team Champions.
