Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson provided a personal update while he has been away from the WWE scene.

After the TKO group acquired the WWE in 2023, The Rock surprised everyone by revealing that he is on the TKO board of directors, as he bought a hefty amount of company shares. Rock also enhanced the buildup to WrestleMania 40 by playing ‘The Final Boss’ character on the screen. He teamed with Roman Reigns to take on the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the Night 1 main event of Mania 40 as well. However, Rock has been out of in-ring action since then.

The Rock’s last WWE appearance took place at the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE, where he joined forces with heel John Cena and Travis Scott. Amid his lengthy absence from WWE TV, The Final Boss is busy with his Hollywood projects and movies. Meanwhile, Rock shared a funny personal update through his recent social media post.

The Rock provided a personal update from his gym

Taking to his Instagram handle recently, The Rock shared a video from his gym, as he was training in the dark, and showed how the lights were not working. In the post’s caption, Rock hilariously revealed that he didn’t pay the light bill and weighed in on the benefits of training at night with the lights off:

A sign from the universe šŸ’« Or maybe I didn’t pay the light billšŸ’”šŸ¤£ But what I did find is that training at night with the lights off, created an even more hyper focused environment, that minimized sensory clutter – so every rep, every negative, every pause squeeze had a sharper edge. Also my breathing control had a different pulse to it since I could hear my breath through the grind and labor”

The Final Boss further joked that he just saw a ghost and is going to pay his light bill now:

I’m not advocating for ā€œlights out trainingā€ all the time, but give it shot if you can control your training environment. It was a pretty bad a**, centering kind of workout. Now I’ll go pay my light bill, and I think I just saw a ghost šŸ‘» šŸ˜‚ #ironparadise #flow” Rock wrote.

While The Rock is currently busy with his ongoing Hollywood projects, fans have been anticipating seeing him on WWE TV. Many fans also want The Final Boss to take on Roman Reigns in a dream match before he hangs up his boots.
