Great News For Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Amid WWE Hiatus
Congratulations to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The Rock’s last WWE appearance came in March 2026 at Elimination Chamber in Toronto. He appeared to receive an answer from Cody Rhodes, where he had promised to elevate Rhodes in exchange for his loyalty.
When Rhodes refused to sell his soul to the Brahma Bull, the latter ordered John Cena to attack The American Nightmare, effectively turning Cena into a heel. He was expected to show up at WrestleMania 41.
However, rapper Travis Scott was involved in the Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena WrestleMania 41 match instead of The Rock, which many fans and critics didn’t like. It has been over 400 days since The Final Boss last appeared on WWE television.
His absence is reportedly due to his high-profile Hollywood commitments. Amid his WWE hiatus, he was recently rewarded with a huge honor.
On April 9, 2026, Forbes released a list of the “250 Greatest Living Self-Made Americans.” Rock was on the list at number 70, just between music legend Stevie Wonder (#69) and entrepreneur Norm Asbjornson (#71).
The list was created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, and it celebrated those who built their success through meritocracy and grit.
Forbes wrote, “The Rock named his production company Seven Bucks as a reminder of a bleak time: cut from the Canadian Football League, he arrived broke in Tampa with ‘a five, a one and change.‘
The Rock is not only a WWE and Hollywood superstar, but he is also a businessman and entrepreneur with his Seven Bucks Productions, Zoa Energy, and Teremana Tequila brand.
In 2024, he was appointed to the TKO Group Holdings Board of Directors, and he has also secured full ownership of The Rock trademark.
WWE Veteran Vince Russo Calls Out The Rock For Being Silent Amid WrestleMania Crisis
WWE veteran Vince Russo recently blasted The Rock for being silent amid the WrestleMania 42 crisis, even though he is a TKO board member.
On a recent episode of the Coach and Russo Show, Russo criticized Rock for doing nothing to boost WrestleMania 42 ticket sales, which have been significantly lagging.
How much is The Rock making from WWE right now? [Well, in the last four years, it’s been anywhere from 50 to 80 million dollars.] You think about that, guys. He works for this company. He’s on the board of directors. They are not selling WrestleMania. Not one quote from a guy working at the top of the food chain, board of directors, $80 million. Not one tweet. Are we idiots?
