Spoiler On New Ronda Rousey WrestleMania 39 Plans
A new report has provided some insight into what WWE has in mind for Ronda Rousey at this year’s WrestleMania.
Ronda Rousey has been absent from WWE television for several weeks due to an arm injury. Since she lost the Smackdown Women’s Title to Charlotte Flair on December 30th, Rousey has expressed no desire to get her title back. Instead, she has been working with her good friend Shayna Baszler.
There were numerous reports since the start of the year that Ronda Rousey wanted to go after the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Baszler.
It appeared that Rousey and Baszler would get that title shot at WrestleMania 39, but the planned championship match isn’t happening now.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are currently held by Becky Lynch & Lita, who are locked into a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 39. The champions will be joined by Trish Stratus for a match against Damage CTRL’s Bayley, IYO SKY & Dakota Kai.
On Twitter, Bayley posted a photo of herself with a Women’s Tag Team Title saying “I’m sorry” as if to say she is sorry that the titles won’t be on the line at WrestleMania this year.
To try to get more wrestlers on the WrestleMania 39 card, WWE is having a Men’s Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match and a Women’s Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.
We found out on Smackdown that Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan will be one of the teams in the match after defeating Emma and Tegan Nox. WrestleVotes on Twitter has reported on who the other women’s teams will be:
“As of last creative discussion, the women’s fatal four way at WrestleMania will be: Raquel/ Liv vs. Shayna / Ronda vs. Nattie / Shotzi vs. Carmella & Chelsea.”
