Two 4-Way Tag Team Matches Expected To Be Part Of WrestleMania 39
There will be two 4-way tag team matches added to the WrestleMania 39 card with a new report providing information on who some of the teams will be.
It is less than three weeks until WrestleMania 39 takes place on April 1st and April 2nd at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. There are several big matches already official while fans continue to wonder if their favorite superstars will be a part of the show.
In past years, WWE did Men’s and Women’s battle royal matches to try to get more people on the card, but they stopped doing that a few years ago.
The Wrestlevotes Twitter account, which has broken many stories in the past, reported on Friday that WWE plans on adding two four-way matches to the WrestleMania 39 card.
“I’m told 2 additional matches are coming to the WrestleMania card. Both Men’s & Women’s four way tags. The men’s lineup is currently scheduled as:
Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy vs. Viking Raiders vs. Braun Strowman / Ricochet.”

Three of the teams mentioned there are former WWE Tag Team Champions: The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) and Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar). The team of Strowman & Ricochet have had a lot of success as a team of late including a recent Tag Team Title match loss against the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos.
The New Day likely would have been part of the match, but they are dealing with injuries since Kofi Kingston has a foot/ankle injury while Big E has missed the last year with a serious neck injury. That means Xavier Woods possibly won’t be wrestling on the show.
Some women’s teams that have been together on television in recent weeks include Carmella & Chelsea Green, Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan and Natalya & Tegan Nox to name a few. Whether all of them are part of it or other teams are formed is unknown at this time.
The official WrestleMania 39 lineup at this point looks like this:
* Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
* Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
* Brock Lesnar vs. Omos
* Raw Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka
* Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Logan Paul
* United States Championship: Austin Theory (c) vs. John Cena
* Damage CTRL – Bayley, IYO SKY & Dakota Kai vs. Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch & Lita
* Hell in a Cell Match: Edge vs. Finn Balor
The Miz will host WrestleMania.
Other expected matches include Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens challenging The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Titles, Rey vs. Dominik Mysterio and Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt. The Women’s Tag team Titles may be on the line as well with Becky Lynch & Lita defending the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, but that’s in question a bit due to Rousey dealing with an injury.
