Potential Spoiler On Ronda Rousey’s Opponent At Royal Rumble

Ronda Rousey holding SmackDown Women's Championship

A potential spoiler has been revealed regarding Ronda Rousey’s next challenger for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title.

Ronda Rousey successfully defended the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Shotzi last Saturday, November 26th at Survivor Series. It was an easy win for Rousey, who won the Smackdown Women’s Title for the second time at Extreme Rules in October.

The next WWE Premium Live Event is the Royal Rumble, which is on January 28th in San Antonio.

It has been reported by WrestlingNews.co that Rousey’s title challenger at the Royal Rumble is expected to be Raquel Rodriguez.

It would not be a major surprise for Rodriguez to step up as Rousey’s next title challenger since Rodriguez was attacked by Rousey and her best friend Shayna Baszler last week on the November 25th edition of Smackdown. After Rodriguez was attacked backstage, she valiantly tried to tag with Shotzi against Rousey/Baszler, but Rodriguez was unable to pick up the win. Instead, Rousey made Rodriguez tap out to an armbar.

In addition to Rousey’s opponent at Royal Rumble, WrestlingNews.Co also reported that Roman Reigns is expected to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble, which we covered here. There are additional future spoilers as well.

As is always the case with spoilers for the future, sometimes things change due to the creative direction or an injury. As always, until it’s officially announced by WWE, it’s just a rumor.
