Roman Reigns’ Ex-Rival Teased As Cody Rhodes’ Next Challenger On WWE RAW

WWE WrestleMania 42 was a heavy night for the former World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, as he lost a grueling main event to Roman Reigns last night in the Allegiant Stadium.

Reigns chose CM Punk as his WrestleMania opponent after winning the Royal Rumble earlier this year and managed to wrestle the title away from the Second City Saint following a brutal match between the two.

Punk was scheduled to appear on the RAW after WrestleMania tonight, and he came out to the ring and addressed the WWE Universe following his major WrestleMania loss.

Cody Rhodes made an appearance on WWE RAW tonight

CM Punk addressed the fans while in the ring and stated that he’s been losing a lot over the last few months, referencing the loss of his dog, Larry, and some of his friends that he made during his time in WWE.

He thanked the fans for their support without them even knowing and said that, after keeping things in perspective, his loss last night hurts a little less, but he knows that he’s going to get back right up with support from his faithful fans.

Punk was just about to leave the ring when the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, came out to the ring to talk to his friend. He came to the ring to console Punk following his loss, but he assured him that he’s doing alright.

The two shared a heartfelt moment where Punk heaped praise on Cody for beating his former mentor and friend, Randy Orton, to retain his title. He laid down the path for himself by stating that he just needs to be patient, as a championship opportunity could arrive at any time, while staring on Cody’s title.

The American Nightmare responded by saying just say when as the Chicago-made Punk walked away with a smile on his face.
