Roman Reigns Makes Bold Claim Ahead Of WWE SummerSlam
Roman Reigns is ready for blockbuster WWE SummerSlam clash.
The OTC has been nearly unstoppable since winning the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. He successfully defended his gold against Jacob Fatu at Backlash 2026 and Clash in Italy.
However, Roman Reigns’ challenger at SummerSlam is not someone to be taken lightly. In fact, he is a ghost from Reigns’ past in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Seth Rollins.
The two former Shield brothers have traded barbs at each other in recent weeks, and things got physical on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. Ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer, Roman Reigns shared a workout video on his Instagram handle with the following caption:
“Always remember… While they’re whining, I’m grinding. #SummerSlam ready. ☝🏽” wrote Reigns.

Roman Reigns teases the end of an era in WWE
The official X handle of WWE recently posted a clip of the exchange between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on RAW. The OTC noticed it and fired shots at Rollins.
He slammed The Visionary for his actions, even threatening to “end” his arch-nemesis. Reigns claimed all of Seth Rollins’ biggest moments in the Stamford-based promotion were possible only because of him. However, The Bloodline member vowed to “close the door” on Seth Rollins forever at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam premium live event.
“OF COURSE the guy who can’t win a title on his own would sucker punch me. For that type of disrespect, WE could end you. Too easy. Just remember…all the biggest moments of your career are because of ME. Not anymore. At SummerSlam.. I close the door on you, forever.”
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in the coming weeks.
