Rhea Ripley On What WWE Elimination Chamber In Australia Means To Her
Rhea Ripley has opened up about what it means to her to be able to compete in her home country at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE.
For the first time in her WWE career, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley will get to perform at a major Premium Live Event in her home country of Australia. Not only that but Rhea Ripley’s match with Nia Jax is expected to be the main event of the Elimination Chamber PLE.
At the WWE Press Event for Elimination Chamber, Ripley was cheered heavily by her fellow Australians. Jax also mentioned that she was born in Australia like Ripley, which led to Ripley saying that they were glad Ripley left and was raised in the US instead of Australia, which drew cheers from the fans.
Even though Ripley is a heel on WWE television with The Judgment Day group, she will be cheered heavily in Australia and with good reason. Ripley has been featured on a lot of the advertising for the event taking place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.
In an interview with The West Sport, “Mami” Rhea Ripley did her best to explain just how important Elimination Chamber is to her.
“I’m glad that I had the sunnies (sunglasses). Because my eyes were getting a bit teary and I’m just happy to be home. I really am and I’m so happy that we get to bring a PLE to Australia. Not just any PLE, we get to bring Elimination Chamber. We’re on the road to WrestleMania and one of the stops there is here in Australia, here in Perth, here at Optus Stadium and it’s such a special event, it really is.”
“To be the face of the PLE as well, to be on the poster, to have Motionless in White as the theme song, made for Rhea Ripley, so it makes me very, very proud and it just makes me look back at my career and it makes me look at everything that I’ve gone through and it’s all built up to this moment. This is my WrestleMania before WrestleMania.”
