Real Reason Triple H Missed WWE Raw

Triple H WWE

Triple H was not at Monday Night Raw to see CM Punk give his first live promo since returning to WWE.

Hell froze over for Triple H as he welcomed CM Punk back into WWE at Survivor Series after almost ten years away. While many might have expected Triple H to have his hand over the mute button as Punk took to the ring on Raw with a live mic in his hand, it turns out the Chief Content Officer wasn’t even at the show. The reason for his absence has now been revealed.

PWInsider reported that Triple H missed Raw because he and company President Nick Khan have been in Los Angeles working to secure a new media rights deal for Raw.

Triple H’s Raw Absence Could Mean New WWE Deal Is Close

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer offered more insight into that process and how close a new deal for Raw might be:

[Triple H] and Nick Khan were trying to finalise a television deal and it’s close. This is the Raw deal, it’ll probably be announced soon after it’s finalised, it’s not finalised yet. They were in Los Angeles for those meetings and obviously very important meetings for [Triple H] to miss that Raw.

It is not known at this time if Triple H is expected to miss the 1st of December edition of SmackDown which is set to take place in New York City.
