CM Punk is back in WWE after making a shocking appearance at the end of Survivor Series.

The main event of WWE Survivor Series in Chicago saw the Cody Rhodes-led team beat The Judgment Day in the main event in a WarGames match. Cody’s team included Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso and the World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins as they teamed up to beat The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor JD McDonagh and their ally for one night, Drew McIntyre.

In the WarGames match, Randy Orton made his return to WWE after 18 months away, but it was not the only major return of the night.

When it looked like the show was going to sign off as the Cody Rhodes team was celebrating the win, the familiar song “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour hit and the fans in Chicago went absolutely crazy in a thunderous ovation.

That led to Punk making his return to WWE for the first time since walking out one day after the 2014 Royal Rumble event.

What Did CM Punk Do During His WWE Return?

The fans were going crazy shouting “CM Punk” repeatedly as CM Punk appeared in the entrance area wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

In the entrance area, Punk looked at the watch on his wrist and shouted “It’s Clobbering Time” with the fans shouting it too. That is something that Punk has been doing for decades for his entrance.

As the music continued to play, Punk hugged some fans while the crowd was chanting for him and shouting CM Punk’s name. Punk let out a yell and that was the end of the show.

While CM Punk appeared on camera, the announcers Michael Cole and Corey Graves didn’t say anything. They let the crowd do the talking with the “CM Punk” chants as the show went off the air.

Going into Survivor Series, there were numerous reports about Punk possibly appearing, but it wasn’t a sure thing. Fans had to tune in to watch and if you did watch, you saw that incredible moment as CM Punk returned to WWE in a memorable moment to end Survivor Series.

To celebrate CM Punk’s return to WWE, the company has already released a new t-shirt commemorating the return of the former WWE Champion.
