NXT Star Debuts Brand New Look

Thea Hail NXT

Thea Hail has ditched the Chase U attire.

Following a friendship forming with Jacy Jayne, Hail showed off her new look and new attitude on the September 26th episode. Andre Chase and Duke Hudson were seen in the backstage area discussing how they were concerned about Hail as she was not answering their messages. The Chase U members ran into Jayne, who introduced the new and improved Hail.

Following a shocked response from Hudson that had to be bleeped, Thea Hail walked into the shot wearing darker gear, a stark contrast from her usual gear that featured the University colours. Chase was about to protest, but Hudson gestured that they should be more supportive. The new look was teased on the September 19th broadcast but was not shown to the camera during the shopping vignette.

Later in the night, Jayne introduced Hail complete with new entrance music. On commentary, Booker T compared the transformation to Miley Cyrus moving away from her Hannah Montana persona. The glow-up proved to be effective as Hail defeated Dani Palmer on NXT. After the victory, Jayne celebrated with Hail in the ring as Chase U were nowhere to be seen.

Hail’s change in attitude came about following weeks of frustration against Chase U, who first hinted at a breakaway following Chase’s actions at The Great American Bash, costing Hail’s opportunity to become NXT Women’s Champion. Shortly afterwards the friendship with Jayne would begin.

NXT Adds North American Championship Match To No Mercy

A new number one contender was also determined on the No Mercy go-home broadcast of NXT. As Dominik Mysterio was without a challenger following Mustafa Ali’s shock departure, a 4-way match was set up to determine his next opponent.
