Pat McAfee was caught off guard backstage on WWE SmackDown.

The former NFL star made a shocking return to the Stamford-based company last week to attack the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, revealing himself as Randy Orton’s mystery caller.

Meanwhile, Jelly Roll has also been involved in the heated feud. The megastar was caught in the crossfire last week during a brawl between The American Nightmare and The Viper, with the latter taking him out with an RKO.

Jelly Roll Confronts Pat McAfee On WWE SmackDown

As Pat McAfee arrived at tonight’s SmackDown, he was met by General Manager Nick Aldis, who assured him that nobody in WWE was allowed to lay a hand on him under “orders from above.” However, the former NFL star was quickly confronted by a fuming Jelly Roll.

The music star asked McAfee whether he told Orton to RKO him. The former color commentator denied, stating instead that he told The Viper to “k*ll everybody,” adding that Jelly Roll should not have interfered in the brawl between Orton and Cody Rhodes.

Jelly Roll agreed that he should not have been involved, but told McAfee that neither should he. The conversation then turned more intense when Orton’s newest ally called the musician an outsider.

Jelly Roll then pushed McAfee into the wall before Aldis quickly stepped in to separate them. The megastar made it clear he does not work for WWE, meaning Aldis’ orders did not apply to him.
