Medical Experimentation Alleged In Bizarre New WWE Lawsuit
WWE is facing a bizarre new legal challenge.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, a very unusual lawsuit was filed by Luis Danny Soto on February 20. The lawsuit against Endeavor, IMG, TKO Group Holdings, WWE, UFC, Seven Bucks Productions, and several individuals, including The Rock and Dana White, contains allegations of harassment, conspiracy, corruption, and “unorthorised medical experimentation.”
In the suit, Soto claims WWE has a lengthy history of bribing officials, including judges, while alleging that the company used medical equipment on him without his consent.
“Without consent or knowledge, equipment was installed in my home that is used to treat mental disorders common among drug abusers. This equipment was used on me without my consent. They allowed the equipment to be used by other companies, celebrities, athletes, politicians including Donald Trump and his family, and law enforcement.
Endeavor, IMG, TKO, WWE, UFC and Seven Bucks Productions allowed the equipment to be used by its executives, managers, colleagues, employees and their families, friends, favorite universities, politicians, law enforcement officials et al.
Collusion between these parties and others has occurred to defraud me of my rights and these parties have conspired to accomplish something forbidden by law causing moral injury to my being.
The equipment used to treat anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and sleep disorders associated with drug use was used repeatedly and knowingly without my consent.”
Soto also included claims of harassment, threats, stalking, and discrimination and suggested the parties named are involved in a “clandestine black market” that, among other things, facilitates drug distribution and exploitation.
At present, none of the defendants named have been served with the lawsuit.
WWE Accused Of “Sham” Investigation
Back in February, new information came to light regarding a shareholder lawsuit that was filed against WWE in November.
The suit claims that Vince McMahon manipulated the sale process when he forced his way back onto the company’s Board of Directors in January 2023 and oversaw the merger with UFC under the Endeavor banner.
McMahon had previously left his role as Executive Chairman following allegations of sexual misconduct. During this period, WWE launched an investigation into McMahon’s conduct, which the lawsuit claims was a “sham.”
McMahon left WWE and the newly formed TKO Group for a second time in January 2024 after being hit with a lawsuit from former employee Janel Grant. The suit contains allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault.
