WWE May Only Induct Ex-Champion Into Hall Of Fame After His Death
A former champion may be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after his death.
Vince McMahon is one of the most well-known figures in the world of professional wrestling. After buying WWE from his father, Vince took the company to new heights and made it the biggest wrestling promotion in the world.
Despite his success, Vince McMahon wasn’t free from any controversy. He was involved in a lot of legal disputes throughout his life. However, the former WWE Chairman has always managed to come out unscathed. However, that all changed when Janel Grant filed a s**ual misconduct lawsuit against him. This also finally led to his ouster from the WWE. Due to the controversial nature of his exit and the ongoing controversy he has found himself in, fans have been wondering if he will ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, given his contributions to the company.
Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager said that Vince McMahon may get inducted into the Hall of Fame only after his passing.
“I think Vince may go in, and I don’t know how to say that. I think after he’s passed, I think.”
Teddy Long wants Vince McMahon to return to WWE
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Teddy Long said that WWE should bring Vince McMahon back, and that will get the fans on board.
“I think what we got to do, we got to get Vince back so we can do this thing right and get the fans back on board.”
The former SmackDown General Manager said that Vince loved wrestling all his life. He also recalled an incident where the former WWE Chairman was talking about wrestling throughout a flight.
“I don’t think the chapter has ever closed with him. I think Vince, the way that I, like I said, I don’t know what happened or any of that stuff, but to me, in my knowing him, this was his life. He loved this. This was his life. I had a chance to ride on the plane with him and one night we was on the plane and as soon as we took off, he talked about wrestling until we landed.” [H/T f4wonline.com]
