Maria Kanellis shared a positive update amid being diagnosed with skin cancer.

In a post she shared on X, Kanellis urged fans to get their moles checked for traces of cancer.

The 43-year-old revealed that a previous biopsy she conducted on a mole on her leg showed it to be cancerous. Fortunately, she detected it early and underwent surgery before it spread into deeper tissues.

Maria Kanellis’ skin cancer is not the only detection for a former WWE talent. In June this year, Ric Flair confirmed that he was diagnosed for the same disease for the second time in three years.

A month later, Flair revealed that he underwent treatment and was officially cancer-free.

Trish Stratus recently mourned the loss of her mother, who had battled with cancer.

Maria Kanellis Underwent Surgery Last Year

In July last year, Maria Kanellis had announced she would be undergoing surgery when doctors found a mass on her adrenal gland.

After the diagnosis, she explained that she would meet with a surgeon. Her surgery was scheduled for September.

At the time, Kanellis was still signed with All Elite Wrestling, which she departed in January 2025.

Her husband and fellow wrestler, Mike Bennett had confirmed that she had undergone successful surgery and everything went as planned.

Maria Kanellis is a former TNA Knockouts Champion and has worked for other promotions, including New Japan Pro Wrestling. She is also the owner of Women’s Wrestling Army, a Chicago-based promotion.

Everyone here at TJR Wrestling wishes Maria Kanellis a speedy recovery.
