Major WWE Stars Including Paige Taken Out in Shield-Like SmackDown Invasion

The first episode of WWE SmackDown post-WrestleMania 42 was off to an amazing start for fans, as they were treated to two incredible opening segments that even saw a title change.

The night began as Jacob Fatu was interrupted by the entire Samoan Dynasty on the WWE roster, currently, and then witnessed Tiffany Stratton become the new Women’s United States Champion.

There was more to cheer for the Fort Worth crowd as they were treated to an appearance from a returning WWE legend as the newly crowned Women’s Tag Team Champions made their way to the ring.

Nikki Bella was unfit to compete at WrestleMania 42 and chose the returning Paige as Brie Bella’s tag team partner in her stead, and they went on to win the tag team titles. Brie and Paige addressed the crowd and put the entire women’s tag team division on notice.

Just as Paige addressed the crowd, they were interrupted by former tag team champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, who challenged the tag team champions for a title match.

The match between them started immediately, but it didn’t last long. Shortly after the match began, Paige was chucked into the steel steps by Jacy Jayne before the rest of Fatal Influence took out Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Brie Bella.

Jayne lost her NXT Women’s Championship earlier this month and had achieved everything she could in the black and silver brand before moving up to the main roster with the rest of her faction.
