Breaking: Paige Returns At WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday

WWE WrestleMania is the most exciting time for a wrestling fan, with multiple returns and debuts reserved for the Showcase of the Immortals, and this year’s Mania was no different.

The night began with the return of a WWE legend as John Cena, who is the host for WrestleMania 42, kicked off the night and got us underway. While it was already known that Cena would be there, the fans were then treated to a truly surprising return.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were set to be defended in a Fatal-Four-Way match where Nia Jax and Lash Legend defended their titles against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley and the Bella Twins.

However, Nikki Bella had injured her ankle in the weeks leading up to the Show of Shows, casting doubt over her WrestleMania status. She rehabbed her injury till the end, but wasn’t able to get fit in time.

Nikki had a backup plan up her sleeve though as she didn’t want to ruin Brie’s moment and called upon a friend to replace her in the match. She was replaced by a returning Paige in the fatal-four-way match, who made her WWE return after eight years.

The Anti-Diva’s appearance was met by huge cheers from the Las Vegas crowd as the fans had been clamouring for Paige’s return ever since she left AEW and WrestleMania 42 finally made it a reality.
