The World Heavyweight Title will be on the line at WWE Clash at the Castle.

At WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship — but his celebrations weren’t to last. After winding up CM Punk at ringside, McIntyre was attacked by the former AEW star, before things went from bad to worse.

With the Scottish Warrior reeling, Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, and one South of Heaven Chokeslam later, the Judgment Day star was World Champion.

Although McIntyre has been out of action with an elbow injury, he’s continued to take shots at Punk and Priest, with the champion agreeing to face him when he’s medically cleared.

Fast forward to WWE King & Queen of the Ring, and Triple H announced McIntyre would challenge Priest for the gold at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.

Drew McIntyre Gets WWE Wish

Speaking in a recent interview, Drew McIntyre opened up about his new WWE contract, and the chance to return to Glasgow for Clash at the Castle. The star said it was “beyond dreams” to be on such a huge show back home, before warning he wouldn’t be happy if he wasn’t in a high-profile match.

It seems someone was listening, and now McIntyre has his wish.
