WWE Urged To Break Up Iconic Tag Team After 10 Years

WWE is urged to break up a top tag team.

Street Profits have been together since their time in NXT. They found success when they first came up to the main roster and even won the Tag Team Titles. However, the last few years have been nothing but bad for them.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins had plenty of start-stop runs in the WWE. At one point, it looked like Montez Ford was about to break out of this tag team and go on a singles run, but it didn’t end up happening. They have been repackaged quite a bit over the years. Recently, they finally won the World Tag Team Titles from The Vision. However, they ended up losing the titles just a few weeks later to The Vision. Given how their tag team booking is going, it might be time for them to split up.

Tommy Carlucci believes it’s time WWE breaks up The Street Profits

During a recent edition of Behind The Turnbuckle Studios’ The Last Word, Tommy Carlucci suggested that WWE should book Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins to have a feud between them just to split up their tag team. He suggested that Ford could blame Dawkins for them losing the titles and turn on him. This could also kickstart Ford’s singles run.

“You got Montez Ford with Dawkins. Now, you say, what’s next? We just lost the title. I don’t care if they start a feud between them two, a cheap way to get out of their tag. I mean, I’m flipping over turnbuckles and everything, and it’s on you, Dawg. You’re the one that lost the match for us by getting hit and not looking out with eyes behind your head. Right. I’m done with you having that, and that’s how you start Montez Ford on his singles career. I know it’s a sh**ty way to do it, but that’s the only way to do it right now.”

The Street Profits are one of the most beloved teams in the WWE. Therefore, splitting them up may not sit right with some sections of the WWE audience. However, it remains to be seen which way the sports entertainment juggernaut will decide to go with this duo.
