Major AEW Match Nearly Cancelled Due To “Stressful” Situation

A new report has shed light on why a recent major AEW match was nearly put on hold due to what has been called a “stressful” situation.

On the most recent edition of Being The Elite, The Young Bucks noted that they had been dealing with a stressful situation that Matt Jackson noted they weren’t able to talk about. That sent the rumour mill into overdrive with many believing that comment had something to do with CM Punk.

That was not the case, but the situation could have caused the stress levels to raise almost as high as when The Bucks had their backstage altercation with The Bucks as the much publicised final match in the best of 7 series for the AEW Trios Championship was nearly put on ice.

Dave Meltzer noted in his Wrestling Observer daily update that the situation that The Bucks were referring to had to do with a visa situation:

“The issue was that one of the wrestlers in the match had a visa issue and they didn’t know until Tuesday night if the Game Seven match would take place. But the issue was cleared up on Tuesday.”

There is no word on who the visa situation was related to but PAC, The Lucha Bros, and Kenny Omega are all international stars. There have been issues with PAC in the past with his advertised match for the first-ever AEW pay-per-view against Hangman Adam Page having to take place before the PPV took place in PAC’s native England.
