Sheamus recently parted ways with the WWE.

Sheamus worked for the WWE for several years. During this time, he accomplished pretty much everything there was to accomplish in the company. He also formed a successful tag team with former WWE star Cesaro called The Bar.

Sheamus and Cesaro became a tag team after feuding against each other for several weeks. As a tag team, The Bar achieved a lot of success. They won the RAW Tag Team Championships four times and the SmackDown Tag Team Championships once. The duo disbanded in 2019. Currently, Cesaro works for AEW under the ring name Claudio Castagnoli while the Celtic Warrior recently parted ways with the Stamford-based promotion after turning down a contract extension.

Jim Ross wants to see a reunion between Sheamus and Claudio Castagnoli

During a recent edition of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross said that Sheamus reuniting with the former Cesaro would be a good thing as it would elevate the tag team division. He even praised the Celtic Warrior for being a good hand and a team player.

“Well, I think putting him back together with Cesaro is a good thing, if that happens. It’ll create a real strong team to make your tag team division stronger.

He’s a good hand, he really is. He’s a good hand. He’s a good guy. I don’t know why you’d have any issues bringing him back into the fold. He’s a team player. He’s big, physical.

The combination of him and Cesaro interests me a great deal

So, we’ll have to wait and see. It’s one of those time will tell deals, which is not a bad thing. Keeps you turned in and stay tuned”

Jim Ross further said that he would like to call some of Sheamus’ matches someday. He also hopes that the former WWE star signs with AEW.

“I hope that he lands on his feet wherever he goes, but I’d like to personally be able to call some of his matches someday.

I hope that he signs with AEW on some sort of contract, even if it’s a limited engagement where he’s not working every single time the lights come on, he’s there. I’m not for anybody having to do that.

I’m looking forward to seeing where he lands. He’s got a lot of gas in the tank. He’s smart.” [H/T WrestleTalk.com]

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Sheamus after his WWE exit.
