Why Logan Paul Was Upset After WWE Fans Booed Him

Logan Paul

Logan Paul took time to adapt.

When Logan Paul took his first steps into the wild world of WWE, he was presented as the classic celebrity babyface. However, in part due to his controversial past, it wasn’t long until fans began heavily booing him as his appearances became more frequent.

In the end, the star became a full-fledged heel, and Logan Paul now spends his time clashing with comedians on Raw.

Logan Paul Hated Being Booed

While Paul is now fully entrenched in his role as a heel, that wasn’t always the case.

During a recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast, the star recalled being heavily booed by fans in his hometown of Cleveland. He admitted that, at the time, the crowd’s reaction got to him, but he later realised that if he leaned into being a bad guy, he could use the boos to help his presentation.

Paul added that he can’t ever imagine being a babyface.

“It bothered me. There is a guy named Bruce Prichard. Legend. Went to Cleveland. Walked out and everyone f*cking booed me. In my hometown. I went backstage to Bruce and was like, ‘Do they understand that I could get out of that ring and pull any single one of them out and beat the f*cking sh*t out of them? Anyone. Any age, gender, form.’ It hurt my feelings. Booed in my hometown.

He made a comment about Cleveland, ‘It is Cleveland. What is this place?’ I was upset. Something happened where, a flip was switched and I realized how much power there was in being able to puppeteer and really artfully manipulate the crowd to play on the exact emotion you want them to feel or not.

It’s a dance, and sometimes they are f*cking with me and are booing me out the building so it’s harder to get through my promos. Other times, I diss their favorite Superstar or city. I found so much pleasure in it. Truthfully, at this point, I can never imagine being a babyface. I have no interest in it. I am in my pocket at the moment. I love it.”

Elsewhere, Booker T recently heaped praise on Logan Paul, claiming the YouTube star is one of the best listeners he’s ever encountered in wrestling.
