A former WWE champion may never return to the company.

Vince McMahon is one of the most polarizing names in the world of professional wrestling. After buying WWE from his father, Vince turned it into the sports entertainment juggernaut it is today.

Vince McMahon also played an onscreen character during his time in the company and was part of many controversial storylines. McMahon was also involved in several controversies in the past and has always managed to come out on top. However, his downfall started after Janel Grant sued him for s**ual misconduct. As a result, McMahon was finally ousted from the WWE, and Triple H took over creative control of the company. However, fans still believe that Vince will find a way to return to the Stamford-based promotion once his lawsuit is in the rearview mirror.

Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager said that there is no chance in hell that Vince McMahon is ever returning to WWE. He said that the sports entertainment juggernaut is looking to the future and will be more than glad to leave Vince in the past.

“Not a chance in hell, unless it’s a cameo. And I doubt if they even do that. It’s a period of their past that they want to put it to rest, and they will let sleeping dogs lie, and they’ll continue on, and it’s one of the periods of their company that they’re not very proud of. And they’ll let it go.”

Teddy Long wants Vince McMahon to return to WWE

During an interview with TMZ Sports, Teddy Long said that if Vince McMahon returned to WWE, then the fans would also get on board.

“I think what we got to do, we got to get Vince back so we can do this thing right and get the fans back on board.”

The former SmackDown General Manager doesn’t think that this chapter is over yet since Vince loved wrestling a lot.

“I don’t think the chapter has ever closed with him. I think Vince, the way that I, like I said, I don’t know what happened or any of that stuff, but to me, in my knowing him, this was his life. He loved this. This was his life. I had a chance to ride on the plane with him and one night we was on the plane and as soon as we took off, he talked about wrestling until we landed.” [H/T f4wonline.com]

It remains to be seen if Vince McMahon will find his way back to WWE.
