Logan Paul Shares Thoughts On Punching WWE Legend In The Face
Logan Paul is conflicted about an upcoming matchup.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul will step into the ring with Rey Mysterio as he bids to become United States Champion. The YouTube star is yet to win WWE gold despite pushing Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns all the way at Crown Jewel 2022.
Speaking on Impaulsive, the star said the world is looking at the next United States Campion.
“I’m going for you bro, you’re looking at the future US Champ right here. Unfortunately, I have to take it from Rey Mysterio, the legend, I have to punch him in the face a few times.”
When asked if it hurts to punch a beloved figure like Mysterio in the face, Paul said it “sucks,” but he’s got a job to do.
“It sucks. I love Rey Mysterio as a wrestler, and this is what I’ve been saying, I respect Rey, how can you not? He is one of the greatest, surely the greatest luchador of all time, he just has something I need.”
Paul added that he feels as though he belongs in WWE.
“I got the bug. I’m doing these things and this comes so much more natural to me than boxing. People tell me I belong here, I actually feel like I belong. I have the opportunity to go after these champions and win these belts, I don’t know how many humans get this opportunity, I might have to take this.”
When Did Logan Paul Last Wrestle?
Logan Paul hasn’t wrestled since getting the better of Ricochet at SummerSlam. To date, Paul has wrestled four times in 2023 as well as making numerous appearances on WWE programming.
