John Cena Reportedly Thinks Highly Of Popular WWE Star
If you impress John Cena, it means you’re doing something right.
It is at least true in the case of Je’Von Evans.
While speaking on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Bryan Alvarez revealed that the 48-year-old was left highly impressed by Evans when he visited NXT a few days ago.
I was also told that John Cena, he went down to developmental and everything.
And apparently, he is very, very high on Je’Von, and Sheamus had a match with him at our show, and Sheamus was raving about him.
I think they finally figured out, as usual, they’re like the last people on earth to figure this sh*t out. But I think they finally figured out that they have something special in Je’Von Evans, and so hopefully he is called up sooner rather than later, and they do something with him. Je’Von Evans is a regular on WWE NXT and has competed once on TNA, when he challenged the X-Division Champion Leon Slater at Bound for Glory.
The 21-year-old wrestled the returning Gunther on Monday in the “Last Time Is Now” tournament.
While The Ring General won the match by submission, it was not before Evans went toe-to-toe with him for the illustrious opportunity.
John Cena Competes In His Final WWE RAW Match
John Cena was advertised to appear in his final RAW taping on November 17 before his impending retirement.
He opened the show to address the audience at Madison Square Garden, during which Dominik Mysterio interrupted him.
A discussion soon turned physical as members of The Judgment Day came to the ring and attacked the Intercontinental Champion.
Soon, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio made their presence felt in thwarting the attack, resulting in a six-man tag team match being set up.
In an entertaining tag team bout, the babyfaces traded each other’s trademark moves, with John Cena finishing the match with a pinfall over JD McDonagh.
A match between John Cena and Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship was also finalized at Survivor Series: WarGames.
