Adam Copeland Breaks Silence On Unplanned Incident With WWE Star
The WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland finally opened up on an alleged unscripted incident with a popular star from AEW. The WWE star in discussion is Ricky Saints (fka Ricky Starks).
After achieving a legendary status during his time in the WWE, Adam Copeland made his move to All Elite Wrestling in 2023. The erstwhile Edge has had a number of moments and matches during his time in AEW until now. During an episode of Collision back in October 2023, Copeland had a heated segment with Ricky Saints (fka Ricky Starks).
During the infamous segment, the Rated “R” Superstar allegedly went off the script by calling Ricky the “Vanilla midget” version of The Rock. The incident was seemingly recalled by Ricky Saints on a recent episode of RAW, where he mentioned “Edge”:
An edge? Don’t talk to me about an edge,” said Ricky
In a recent interview, Ricky Saints addressed his “Edge” line from RAW, stating that he didn’t even think of that at that time:
You know what’s so funny? I didn’t realize that at the time that it was — no one will believe me so what’s the point in even trying to defend myself but, I just thought that was funny that I was like, wow, I didn’t even think of that. That is crazy…”
Adam Copeland on his infamous promo with the current WWE star
After the current WWE star, Ricky Saints seemingly took a shot at Adam Copeland on RAW recently, the erstwhile Edge also recalled their infamous segment from AEW Collision in 2023.
Speaking with SHAK Wrestling, Adam Copeland recalled that Ricky Saints was not in an angle with him during the infamous AEW promo and compared it to the thousands of promos during the Attitude Era:
We got out there, he started cutting a promo on me, and I’m like, ‘I’m not in an angle with him. Okay.’ That was it. It was like 1000 promos in the Attitude Era.”
The Rated “R” Superstar further revealed that he stopped caring about the infamous promo by the next day and assumed that Ricky also doesn’t care now:
By the next day it was, ‘Now what do we have?’ I don’t….I’m sure Ricky doesn’t, I don’t care,” Copeland said. [H/T Fightful]
