Roman Reigns could face one of his historic rivals at WWE SummerSlam.

The OTC captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 at CM Punk’s expense. He has since reformed The Bloodline and defended his title twice against Jacob Fatu before The Samoan Werewolf joined the faction.

Meanwhile, The Bloodline’s Jey Uso is now set to square off with Oba Femi in the final of the King of the Ring tournament this Saturday at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested that The Ruler capture the crown but give up his title shot at SummerSlam to accept a challenge from Brock Lesnar.

Sam Roberts Proposes Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins At WWE SummerSlam

During the same episode of Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts proposed a scenario in which Seth Rollins would beat Bron Breakker at Night of Champions, then challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

The two former Shield teammates have an iconic rivalry in WWE. They last fought nearly four years ago at Royal Rumble, a match that ended in The Visionary’s victory via disqualification.

The 42-year-old analyst added that two huge title matches could then headline SummerSlam, IYO SKY, who he predicted would win the Queen of the Ring tournament, against the WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and Rollins against Reigns.

With Oba Femi out of title contention, I’m doing Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. It’s a stadium match. I’m not putting it off. I’m doing Roman vs. Seth at SummerSlam. Now you’ve got two matches. You’ve got Rhea (Ripley) vs. IYO (SKY), where Rhea has never beaten IYO, and you’ve got Seth vs. Roman, where Roman has never beaten Seth. Two championship matches where the champion has never beaten the challenger. And that’s what you’re putting in to a two-night stadium show at SummerSlam. [1:05:00 onwards]
