Why Roman Reigns Omitted The Rock In Recent WWE Promo Possibly Revealed

Roman Reigns recently raised eyebrows after failing to mention The Rock in a promo in which he acknowledged several other Bloodline legends.

The Original Tribal Chief has made it his mission to reform The Bloodline following his victory over CM Punk at WrestleMania to capture the World Heavyweight Championship.

After reuniting with The Usos, Reigns forced Jacob Fatu to join the faction after defeating him twice, the second time under Tribal Combat rules.

During a recent promo on RAW, Reigns reflected on The Bloodline’s history in WWE, mentioning The Wild Samoans, Yokozuna, Rikishi, and Umaga. To the surprise of many fans, The OTC omitted his cousin, The Rock.

WWE Analyst Sam Roberts Explains Roman Reigns’ Actions

On a recent episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts addressed Roman Reigns’ promo, pointing out a possible reason why he failed to mention The Final Boss.

According to Roberts’ analysis, the World Heavyweight Champion wants to make the new version of The Bloodline about blood relatives only. Hence, he did not mention The Rock because their families are only united by a blood oath .

I think that this Bloodline should be about blood relatives. I think the fact that Roman Reigns did not bring up The Rock’s name when he was talking about The Bloodline is telling. When he was talking about The Bloodline on RAW and he was, last week, and he was explaining, and he brought up Umaga, and he brough up The Wild Samoans, and he brough up Rikishi, and he brought up Yokozuna.

These are all people in the Anoa’i-Fatu family. The Maivia section of The Bloodline is based on a blood oath that the High Chief Peter Maivia made with Roman Reigns’ grandfather. So, The Rock’s branch is technically a separate branch of the whole Bloodline thing. [53:44 onwards]
