Jade Cargill Sets Sights On First WWE Target

Jade Cargill seems focused on a particular wrestler when it comes to a specific championship she is targeting.

After signing with WWE in September 2023, Jade Cargill made her highly anticipated debut with the company during the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

During that Royal Rumble match, Cargill had an impressive performance by overpowering and eliminating Nia Jax, who had been dominant in the match before she met up with Cargill. That led to Cargill making it to the final three in the match before Liv Morgan eliminated her and Bayley won the match.

While there were rumors that Jade Cargill might be in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, WWE decided to not put her in it. The spot that was penciled in for Cargill went to the returning Raquel Rodriguez instead.

Since the Royal Rumble, WWE has featured Cargill in backstage segments, but she remains a “free agent” in storylines without an assigned brand yet.

Jade Cargill Has A Message For IYO SKY

On WWE Smackdown in Glendale, Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane & WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY were walking down a hallway where they had a staredown with Cargill, who was looking at Sky’s WWE Women’s Title. There was no altercation because Smackdown GM Nick Aldis made Cargill back away and talk to her in his office about a potential contract.

Jade Cargill took to X/Twitter to comment on the staredown while hinting at her possible intentions.

“Look at these kids. They need to get their ass beat for what they did tonight. It wasn’t right…right? Someone like that shouldn’t hold a belt.”

“I mean hold. MY belt.”

The Smackdown brand has recently signed rising young stars like Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton, so if they sign Cargill as well that would be the third top “prospect” for the brand in recent weeks.
