Amid the rumors of CM Punk possibly returning to AEW during his WWE absence, Jack Perry seemingly reacted with a mysterious post.

At AEW All In back in 2023, Jack Perry took a direct shot at CM Punk with the infamous, “Real glass, go cry me a river” line, which resulted in a backstage altercation between the two. The incident led to Punk getting terminated from Tony Khan’s promotion with cause. Perry was also taken off TV for months before eventually returning.

CM Punk later returned to the WWE and is enjoying a great run there. However, there were rumors that Punk could be considering an AEW return amid his absence from TV for nearly two months. Amid all the rumors, Jack Perry seemingly reacted with his recent post.

In his recent Instagram story, Jack Perry shared a portrait of a burnt bridge, possibly implying that CM Punk has burned his bridge with AEW.

Jack Perry says he has grown from his incident with CM Punk

Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette in December last year, Jack Perry cryptically recalled the incident with CM Punk, without even mentioning Punk and explaining how it changed him:

I feel like I’ve grown a lot from it, but I feel like the growth came from a lot of it sounds dramatic to say pain, but it wasn’t the nicest of times, for most of that time. I think it really freed me in a lot of ways. It’s kind of like before all that feels like another lifetime at this point, and I think back to how I felt before that, and I think a big thing I had was like, I just really, it sounds silly, I just wanted everyone to like me.”

I was new to being on TV. This was my dream job since I was a little kid, and I wanted to do it perfectly, and I wanted everyone to like me, and it’s not something I worry about so much in my real life, but this was different. I kind of wanted to micromanage it and make it perfect.”

So then when I would come up short of that, it was very disappointing, and I think coming up short of anything sucks, but doing it in such a public way, and then there are a million people telling you you’re a piece of sh*t or whatever, it’s hard,” Perry stated.

Only time will tell if CM Punk will ever be seen on AEW TV again.
