Injured AEW Star’s Return Is Imminent

Sammy Guevara Thunder Rosa AEW

Sammy Guevara has not wrestled since WrestleDream at the start of October but a comeback for the former TNT Champion is seemingly in the works.

At WrestleDream, Sammy Guevara teamed with his partners in The Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay to defeat the trio of Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi.

Guevara was expected to be part of a tag team match against Omega and Jericho just a few days after WrestleDream but was replaced by Callis Family newcomer Kyle Fletcher. The Spanish God also didn’t make it back in time for the Like A Dragon Gaiden eight-man street fight with Don Callis drafting in Brian Cage to replace Guevara.

Sammy Guevara’s AEW Return Is Imminent

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, former AEW star Fuego Del Sol discussed the latest on Sammy Guevara’s condition and expects to see him back on TV very soon:

Yeah, me and Sam, we talk every day. He’s legitimately one of my best friends and a lot of times we don’t even talk wrestling, we talk about all the other crazy stuff in the world going on.

He is feeling a lot better and his return is imminent. I definitely thought he was gonna be on Dynamite recently in that 8-Man Street Fight. However, he wasn’t back yet, but I know he wants to come back in a major way. So we’ll see where the tide takes him.

Guevara’s WrestleDream partner Will Ospreay was revealed as AEW’s newest signing at Full Gear and perhaps their paths will cross again in the company.
