Former Champion Returns On AEW Collision

AEW Collision stage

A former champion in AEW returned to Collision after being off television for over three months.

It was back in May at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view when Jade Cargill successfully defended the TBS Championship against a tough opponent in Taya Valkyrie. That win moved Cargill to an impressive 60-0 record.

Immediately after that match, Cargill put her TBS Title on the line against a returning Kris Statlander, who was back after missing nearly a year with a serious injury. Statlander overwhelmed Cargill and left with the TBS Title.

Following that defeat, Cargill was taken off television with fans speculating about her future. It turns out that it was just a break for over three months.

Jade Cargill returned on AEW Collision with a message for Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander defended the TBS Championship against Robyn Renegade on AEW Collision in Cleveland. Statlander won the match easily. Robyn and her sister attacked Statlander. That’s when Jade Cargill made her return. Cargill kicked ass by beating up both Renegade sisters followed by Cargill hitting Statlander with her Jaded slam.

As the first-ever TBS Champion in AEW, Jade Cargill had the longest title reign in company history from January 5, 2022 to May 28, 2023 for a total of 508 days. While Cargill could certainly go after the AEW Women’s Title, it appears as if she has her sights set on regaining the TBS Championship.

Cargill amassed an impressive record of 60-0 in AEW before Statlander beat her in a match that Cargill wasn’t prepared for. At least that’s the storyline that AEW can use as they build to a rematch between Statlander and Cargill somewhere in the near future.

On Twitter/X, Cargill tweeted a very simple message about her return.
