Congratulations to WWE Star Trick Williams

Congratulations go out to the current WWE United States Champion, Trick Williams, following a big achievement outside the ring.

Trick Williams joined the WWE in 2021 and quickly got over with the fans during his time in NXT, as everyone chants “Whoop that Trick” during his entrance. After a memorable run on the developmental brand, where he became two-time NXT Champion, Trick made his main roster debut on SmackDown in January this year.

At WrestleMania 42, Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn to capture the United States title. Trick successfully retained his title against Sami at Backlash 2026 in a rematch as well. As Trick continues to rise in the WWE, a huge honor has been attached to him outside the squared circle as well.

WWE star Trick Williams got a day especially dedicated to him

Trick Williams hails from Columbia, South Carolina, and this week’s SmackDown will be taking place in the same city as well. Through a recent Instagram post, South Carolina state representative Hamilton Grant announced that May 12th has officially been designated ‘Trick Williams Day’ in the state. In the post’s caption, Hamilton also urged fans to buy tickets for SmackDown this Friday live from Columbia:

Today has officially been named Trick Williams day in Columbia South Carolina. May 12th. Shout out to House of Representatives member Hamilton Grant. We turning it up at colonial life arena this Friday for WWE SMACKDOWN. Make sure you wearing all white. Get your tickets at Ticketmaster and use promo code LEMONPEPPER. Let’s talk about it,” Grant wrote.

In a video shared in the post, Hamilton Grant also revealed that all 124 members of the South Carolina House of Representatives approved to give the honor to Trick Williams:

What’s going on, everyone? State Representative Hamilton Grant. Let’s talk about what just happened on live TV. Trick Williams is in the building. Today, all 124 members of the South Carolina House of Representatives gave Trick Williams his flowers—a House resolution making sure we appreciate you, making sure you know what you mean to the state of South Carolina,” Grant stated. After he defeated Sami Zayn to retain his United States title at Backlash 2026, Trick Williams must be looking for his next challenger. It remains to be seen what the creative has in store for Trick.
