Cody Rhodes Announced For March 24th Smackdown Match
Cody Rhodes has added another match to his busy schedule after a recent interview was interrupted.
WrestleMania 39 is just two weeks away with Cody Rhodes set to main event on Sunday, April 2nd when he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. It will be Cody’s chance to put an end to Roman’s 900+ days holding the WWE Universal Title and one year as the WWE Champion as well.
Last night on the March 17th edition of Smackdown, Cody was on the show to try to talk some sense into his friends Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to try to get them on the same page. By the end of the show, Zayn and Owens hugged while Cody was smiling about it as he watched it on TV.
Next Monday on WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes will be there as usual while Reigns is headed to the red brand to “confront” Cody ahead of their WrestleMania match.
In addition to appearing on Raw every week and nearly every Smackdown on the road to WrestleMania, Cody also works WWE live events on weekends including recently at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
During an interview on the Smackdown Low Down show after last night’s Smackdown, Cody Rhodes was interrupted by Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
Kaiser didn’t seem impressed by Cody, who won the Royal Rumble by last eliminating Imperium’s GUNTHER. Kaiser said that GUNTHER was the future and Cody is all hype. That led to Cody suggesting a match against Kaiser on Smackdown next week. Kaiser accepted the challenge.
