Cody Rhodes is very excited about the A&E Biography documentary about his father Dusty Rhodes while saying that fans will get the “real story.”

It was announced earlier this week that the A&E Biography series about WWE Legends is going to return to A&E TV starting February 19th.

Among the legendary WWE names that are part of the next batch of Biography specials are WWE Hall of Famers Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Chyna, Dusty Rhodes, Kane, and Iron Sheik.

During his legendary career as a wrestler, Dusty Rhodes was a main-event performer that is a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, who also was one of the NWA’s main bookers throughout the 1980s. Dusty was also credited for creating some long-lasting wrestling traditions like the WarGames match as well as historic events such as the Great American Bash, Starrcade and Halloween Havoc.

Dusty is also the father of Dustin Rhodes, who plans to retire from wrestling this year and Cody Rhodes, who returned to WWE in 2022 after six years away because he wants to win the WWE Championship that Dusty never got a chance to hold.

Sadly, Dusty passed away in June 2015 after spending several years working for WWE as part of the NXT brand and helping to train, as well as inspire, many of the top stars in WWE today.

On Twitter, Cody Rhodes reacted to the news of Dusty being part of the A&E Biography series and said that a wonderful worked on the biography to tell Dusty’s story.

“I’m ecstatic Dusty is being featured on @AETV – a wonderful crew has been working very diligently to bring you his story, the real story. The highs and lows of our beautiful sport and sets the record straight on the many contributions he continues to make. No revision. All love.”

This past Monday on the January 2nd edition of Raw, Cody Rhodes was featured in a video package talking about his comeback from a torn pectoral injury that required surgery. Cody will likely be back in the ring at the Royal Rumble on January 28th unless WWE decides to bring him back sooner.
