Cody Rhodes And Top WWE Star Could Be In Serious Danger
A WWE star, as well as Cody Rhodes might be in some serious danger. The star in discussion is Sami Zayn.
Ever since his WWE return in 2022, Cody Rhodes has been on the radar of many notable stars, as one of the top babyfaces in the company. For the past several weeks, Cody has been in an interesting dynamic with Sami Zayn, as a heel turn for Sami has been teased for weeks.
On the recent SmackDown episode, Cody Rhodes defended his WWE title against Gunther with Sami Zayn as the special referee. The match ended in a no-contest after Sami took out Gunther and also hit Rhodes with the title belt. Meanwhile, both Cody and Sami are under a threat due to Danhausen.
Last Friday on SmackDown, Danhausen attempted to revive his rivals, The Miz and Kit Wilson, by electrocuting them. After the show went off the air, the Very Nice Very Evil took to the X social media platform and teased electrocuting the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes as well as Sami Zayn, after Miz and Kit Wilson:
Wonder what would happen if Danhausen electrocuted Cory Rhodes and Samuel Zayn,” Danhausen wrote.
In the replies to his above post, Danhausen said he will stay away from Gilbert, citing Gunther, as he doesn’t want to get chopped:

WWE star believes Cody Rhodes will not be heading to SummerSlam as the WWE Champion
After the WWE title match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther with Sami Zayn as special referee ended in a no-contest on SmackDown, it has been announced that Cody will defend his title against both Sami and Gunther at Night of Champions 2026 in a triple threat match.
On the other hand, Jey Uso advanced to the final of the King of the Ring tournament. During a backstage confrontation on SmackDown, Sami Zayn told Jey that he thinks he will be the WWE Champion at SummerSlam, not Cody:
Sami: I just wanted to tell you, look, I think you’re doing great. I really do. I see what you’re doing. I think you’re gonna win the King of the Ring. I do, I think you’re gonna go on to SummerSlam. I think you’re gonna wrestle the WWE Champion. I just, I don’t think it’s gonna be Cody Rhodes. I think it’s gonna be me. So what do we do when that happens?
Jey: Man, you know me, Sami. Imma have to do what I have to do, Uce.”
It remains to be seen what WWE has planned for SummerSlam 2026.
