CM Punk To Ruin AEW Star’s Potential WWE Move Due To Real-Life Heat?

A new specualtion explored the possibility of whether CM Punk could sabotage the possible WWE move of a popular AEW star. The star in discussion is Jack Perry.

CM Punk has had alleged real-life heat with the AEW star, Jack Perry, since their backstage altercation at the All In 2023 event. The issue ignited after Perry took a direct shot at Punk. Following the altercation, Punk was terminated from Tony Khan’s promotion with cause, and Perry was also off TV for months following the incident.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Jack Perry’s contract with AEW is expiring soon. The report led to many fans wondering whether WWE could be interested in signing Perry and if he would share the locker room with CM Punk, a few years after the All In 2023 incident.

The possibility of CM Punk ruining the AEW star’s potential WWE move

Speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that the AEW star, Jack Perry is currently renegotiating a deal, but anything is possible, citing his potential WWE move:

All right. Jack Perry is renegotiating. He’s negotiating a deal. His deal is up. I was told at any moment, and he had not yet signed as of yesterday. So I presume he will resign, but I suppose anything is possible.”

Dave Meltzer also added the following:

Anything’s possible. I don’t know that he would do well in WWE. Like, like, he would be one of the guys that I would say, you know, like, like, like a Darby Allen, where it was kind of. I would kind of say probably not the best idea. You know, like Danhausen was a good idea, but. But not that ness.”

Meltzer further noted that he doesn’t see WWE pushing Jack Perry, and it has nothing to do with CM Punk. Dave also believes that Punk doesn’t have the power to ruin Perry for their real-life heat:

You know, it’s just. I just don’t see them pushing them, you know, so. And it’s got nothing to do with Punk. I mean, like, whatever that would be, you know, I mean, I don’t think Punk would have the power to, like, you know, ruin him or anything like that, but, you know, he’s just not their style at all. You know, the, the, the weight and this, the, you know, the,” said Alvarez. [H/T Ringside News]

Only time will tell if Jack Perry can join the WWE.
