CM Punk Confirmed For WWE Live Event

CM Punk

CM Punk’s first match back in WWE has been revealed.

At Survivor Series, CM Punk completed a remarkable return to WWE after a controversy-hit two years with AEW. The star went on to appear on Raw, SmackDown, and even NXT before announcing he would be joining the red brand.

Although Punk is now firmly back in the WWE fold, he’s yet to return to the ring. But, he will be back in action before the end of 2023.

It’s been announced that Punk will take on Dominik Mysterio on December 30th at the Kia Forum.

The match will be Punk’s first of any description since defeating Samoa Joe at AEW All in on August 27th, while it will be his first in a WWE ring since the 2014 Royal Rumble match.

For those keeping score, Punk hasn’t wrestled at a WWE ‘house show’ since January 19th, 2014.

Seth Rollins Scorches CM Punk On WWE Raw

On the December 11th episode of Raw, CM Punk officially became a member of the Raw brand, while also confirming his entrance into the Royal Rumble. However, it was his face-to-face with Seth Rollins that captured the imagination of fans.

During the exchange, a fired-up Seth Rollins took CM Punk to task over his departure from WWE in 2014 and his conduct since. The World Heavyweight Champion said he hated Punk and hit back at the former AEW star for calling WWE “home.”
