Chelsea Green Provides Health Update & Reveals WWE Status After Heart Procedure

The former WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green provided an update regarding her heart procedure and also about her potential return.

Chelsea Green made her WWE return in 2023 and has managed to impress fans with her funny and entertaining character. Chelsea has been a two-time women’s United States Champion during her current tenure as well. Green last competed on an episode of SmackDown three months ago, where she lost a triple threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match, also involving Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend.

Chelsea Green unfortunately sustained an ankle injury during her last in-ring encounter, and she also made an appearance in a wheelchair later. Chelsea revealed the severity of the injury during an interview, stating that she is on a trajectory for a comeback:

My ankle, it’s broken. The inner ankle bone chipped and cracked. It’s very much broken. A lot of people are questioning that. I’m able to (put) weight there. I feel like we’re on a good trajectory to make a solid comeback.”

Chelsea later provided an update that she is making progress and wants to be a part of WrestleMania, which she unfortunately couldn’t achieve:

Everything is great! My ankle is very sore, but we’re making huge progress, which I think is great and necessary, especially entering WrestleMania season… I cannot be missing WrestleMania! So that’s amazing,” said Green.

Chelsea Green provides an update on her WWE return status

In a recent social media post, Chelsea Green revealed that she has been dealing with a heart condition called Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). Elaborating on her SVT issue in a recent post on the X social media platform, Chelsea revealed that her heart rate was pushed to 228 for 15 minutes during her media event presence for WrestleMania 42:

After 10 years of dealing with it, we finally caught my SVT. My latest episode during WrestleMania pushed my resting heart rate to 228 for almost 15 minutes”

Chelsea Green further revealed how her heart procedure continued for 3 hours and assured that she will be back to work very soon after the procedure:

Yesterday, Dr. Girgis spent 3 hours working on me… and I had to be awake for the last hour of the procedure!! Thankfully it was minimally invasive and I’ll be back to work very soon.”

Fans will have to wait and see when the former women’s United States Champion will be back in action on SmackDown.
