Chelsea Green Teases Major WWE Character Change

Chelsea Green salute WWE

Chelsea Green isn’t content to stand still.

On the November 7 episode of SmackDown, Chelsea Green became the first-ever two-time Women’s United States Champion.

After being crowned the inaugural champion back in December 2024, her reign subsequently came to a shuddering halt at the hands of Zelina Vega. But thanks to some chaos and a helping hand from Alba Fyre, Green is once again the champion after dispatching Giulia.

Green is now a double champion, having won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Ethan Page just five days earlier.

Chelsea Green Looking To Evolve

While speaking to Netflix, Green reflected on her continued rise through 2025, before turning her attention to what might come next. She began by saying she’s got a good feeling about 2026 while hinting that change could be on the way.

“I feel like 2026 is going to be a good year. I’ve been learning a lot from [Page]. He’s forcing me to bring out the more gritty, edgy, darker side, so I think we’re going to lean into that.”

Green and Page will be back in action on the special Gold Rush edition of NXT on November 18. At the taping, they’ll defend their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail.

In the days since the match was made, it’s been announced that Joe Hendry has officially signed with WWE. The former TNA World Champion hasn’t appeared on TNA television for several weeksand his move to WWE has been expected since at least mid-2025.
