Big E Gives Positive Update On Neck Injury

Big E with Intercontinental Championship

Former WWE Champion Big E has given a major update on the serious neck injury he suffered, showing that he is on the road to recovery.

On the March 11th edition of SmackDown, Big E teamed up with Kofi Kingston to take on Sheamus and Ridge Holland.

When Big E fell to the outside, he was followed by Ridge Holland who landed a Belly to Belly Suplex on the New Day star. Unfortunately, instead of turning all the way over and landing on his back, he landed on his head and neck.

After the New Day star was taken backstage on a stretcher, it was confirmed that he had broken his neck. He later confirmed that he wouldn’t need surgery. At the time, he revealed that his C1 and C6 vertebrae were fractured, but hadn’t sustained any damage to his spinal cord.

After previously saying his neck wasn’t healing optimally, Big E has now taken to social media to give a more positive update by finally throwing the neck brace he has been forced to wear in the trash.

Big E has previously opened up on how sobering it was to learn that his C1 fracture could have led to something much worse. He reflected that the news makes life feel even more precious.
