Becky Lynch Drops Bombshell On Her WWE Future
Becky Lynch recently said that this is her final run in WWE.
During the first episode of the second season of the WWE docuseries WWE Unreal, which premiered on Netflix on January 20, 2026, Becky Lynch reflected on her 2024 hiatus and her subsequent return to the ring at WrestleMania 41.
She explained that she loves wrestling. However, it is getting increasingly difficult to balance her life, as she does not get to spend enough time with her daughter, Roux. She added that her current contract might be her last one, hinting she might retire soon.
Becky Lynch Addresses “Final Run” Comments, Unsure About Retirement Timeline
Becky Lynch was asked to comment on those remarks during a recent appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s “Insight” podcast. Lynch replied that while she did say she is on her final run in WWE, she is not sure if she will hang up her boots after her current contract ends.
She added that she still has “plenty left in her tank” and would love to continue wrestling as long as she can. But she also admitted that she has a daughter at home whom she wants to spend more time with.
“I mean, I didn’t say it with such assuredness as you did, right? I said it’s probably my last one. I think I said this is likely my last one. That’s not a sure [thing], but, yeah, no, it might be, could be.”
“I don’t know, it could be longer, but you never want to outstay your welcome. Although, I’m in my prime, I can go, plenty left in the tank. But I also have my daughter at home, and maybe I’ll want another one, and at some point, you have to just be happy with what you’ve done.”
“But again, the love of what I do, that’s not going anywhere, but there’s a lot that goes in, around it and behind it. I suppose you never want to just leave spinning your wheels. You always want to move up.”
“But again, that’s also not true, because sometimes I just go, what do I want to do? What would I think is fun? Maybe nobody else will, but this is what I want to do, and this is what I’m happy doing.”
