AEW Welcomes Top Female Star To Company

Tony Khan AEW

One of the biggest names in the world of women’s wrestling has debuted as part of AEW on Dynamite.

AEW in Portland, Oregon saw the first appearance in the company of one of the top female wrestlers in the world as Mariah May became All Elite.

The 25-year-old Londoner was previously part of Stardom in Japan where she had held the Goddesses of Stardom Championship alongside Mina Shirakawa as Club Venus. She last competed for the promotion at the end of September and now looks set to make her future in AEW.

Mariah May was introduced on Dynamite by RJ City who welcomed her to the company and asked what her aspirations were. May was delighted to be there and overjoyed at meeting City – naturally – due to his recent association with Toni Storm. May was beside herself when it became clear she’d be able to meet Storm in the future which by wrestling logic almost guarantees the Timeless star will be May’s first feud in the company.

Tony Khan confirmed Mariah May’s signing on social media with the customary All Elite graphic although it remains unknown how long she has signed for with AEW.

Will Giulia Join Mariah May In AEW?

Rumours have swirled regarding the future of May’s former Stardom colleague Giulia in recent days. The current NJPW Strong Women’s Champion’s contract with Stardom is believed to run until the end of March 2024 but WWE remains a very real option for Giulia.
