An AEW star looks set for an extended period on the shelf after getting injured during a show in New York this past weekend.

It would seem that Abadon will be out of action following her match with Joey Ace, where it’s believed she suffered a broken collarbone.

A report from Pro Wrestling Insider has noted that the injury was suffered from landing awkwardly after hitting a hurricanrana.

Abadon was executing a huranacanrana against Joey Ace when she landed wrong and was injured. The match was immediately stopped and Ababon was taken to a hospital.

The word making the rounds is that Abadon likely suffered a broken collarbone. There is no word how long they may be out of action.

Although no official timeframe has been given, unless the injury proves to be less serious than first feared it can be expected that she will be out of action for a number of months.

Having joined AEW in June 2020, she has not appeared on television since October of the same year but has been a regular fixture on both Dark and Dark Elevation. It has been a tough last few months, after she was also recently scheduled to make her debut in Japan for Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, however was unable to head out for the tour due to difficulty obtaining a visa.

Over recent months there have been questions raised about whether AEW talent would be allowed to work independent shows or purely in their home promotion. This became particularly prominent for Jon Moxley, who had been making a number of appearances for GCW.
