AEW Star Wins Golden Ticket At Grand Slam Rampage (SPOILERS)

One AEW star will be waking up in New York City with championship gold on their mind after they won the Golden Ticket Battle Royale on Rampage that will air on the 23rd of September.

AEW Grand Slam Dynamite saw a host of title changes take place with Chris Jericho defeating Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli to become ROH World Champion for the first time in his illustrious career.

There was a huge win for The Acclaimed as well as they overcame Swerve In Our Glory to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions while a very proud Daddy Ass – Billy Gunn – looked on.

In the show’s main event, the vacant AEW World Title was on the line as Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley put BCC loyalties aside to crown a new champion. In the end, it was Jon Moxley who picked up the victory making him the first three-time AEW World Champion in company history.

Following Dynamite, Grand Slam Rampage was filmed with an air date of Friday, 23rd of September. The following will reveal the winner of the Golden Ticket Battle Royale so if you don’t want to know the result, click here to read about CM Punk’s future in the company.

The Golden Ticket Battle Royale gave a plethora of stars the chance to win themselves a world championship match. In the end, it was former champion Hangman Adam Page that picked up the victory meaning that he is now the number one contender to Jon Moxley’s AEW World Title. That match will take place on the 18th of October edition of Dynamite which will emanate from Moxley’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Welcome to the jungle, Adam Page.
