AEW Selling New Merchandise For “The Elite” At Dynamite

The Elite group in AEW was not at the company’s first Toronto episode of Dynamite, but their presence was there at the merchandise stand.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) form The Elite in AEW. They were together prior to AEW’s existence while also running the “Being The Elite” comedy Youtube show for many years. However, they have been absent from AEW since the backstage fight they were involved in at All Out.

The AEW All Out pay-per-view on September 4th was a well-received show that fans enjoyed especially when The Elite won the AEW Trios Tag Team Titles. However, it was the backstage fight that happened afterward that has dominated the headlines ever since that night.

Due to some insulting comments by CM Punk at a post-show press conference, Omega and the Bucks went into Punk’s dressing room for a confrontation. Reports retelling the story from that night claim that Punk was the first one to throw punches while Punk’s friend/producer Ace Steel threw a chair at Nick Jackson and even bit Omega at one point. AEW ended up suspending Punk, Steel, Omega and both Young Bucks for an undetermined amount of time.

In a recent update, Ace Steel posted a tweet about “freedom” that could suggest he is gone from the company. There have been rumors that Punk may never return as well while it’s likely that Omega and the Bucks will be back at some point since they are Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs) in AEW.

The October 12th edition of Dynamite was the first episode of the show that took place outside of the United States because they were in Toronto. It was a vocal crowd that saw Orange Cassidy beat Pac to win the All-Atlantic Title in the main event while Chris Jericho held onto the ROH World Title against Bryan Danielson thanks to an assist from Daniel Garcia.

An interesting item was for sale at the merchandise stand. It’s a shirt for “The Elite” in Canada’s red/white colors. Thanks to @AllEliteKyle for posting this on Twitter:

There was also a “Hangman” Adam Page promo on Dynamite where he vaguely mentioned The Elite as well.

It’s currently unknown when The Elite may return to AEW, but the fact that the company is selling new merchandise for the group could be a sign that a return will happen soon.
